Picasso

We had to make a Picasso-portrait. This could be in any Picasso-style, so you could choose yourself which style you wanted to use. You could use all the materials for this assignment. I decided to search for a Picasso with a lot of colours. When I found one, I tried to copy it, but I was also trying to make it look like a self-portrait. I used soft pastel crayons: to mix the colours a bit.

I am poem

This time we first had to make an ‘I am’ poem. This was already done before us, by the famous artist Judith Leyster. After we had completed the poem, we had to make a poster. This poster had to do with your poem and after the background was finished, the text from the poem was written on the poster.
I made a very light background, because in the poem I wrote about war and peace. That’s also the reason why I drew a beach with a fence on the edge. I received a 6.5 for this assignment and I was a bit disappointed, because in my opinion the poster fitted perfectly with the poem.

Film posters

For this assignment we had to make a film poster. I decided to make up a film myself: Dragon Fire. I painted a dragon and in the background a huge fire.
Because I was ill for two lessons, I wasn’t able to finish the poster. As you can see in the picture, I only painted the dragon, but I think it looks pretty good.
